*If Only

"If only, If only...
The woodpecker sings, "
If I could of done that,
Oh the pain, how it rings,
If I could have done this
To change life around,
If I could have made right
When my mouth made no sound,

When the sound all around
Told me life was undone
Why did I leave?
Like the moon leaves the sun,
Why did I fight?
When the game was out won,
Why did I cry?
'Bout what's already done;

If only, If only,
I could stand my own ground,
If only, If only,
My dreams could be found,
If only, If only,
Those Seeds not been sown,
If only, If only...
My life was my own;

Through rising of moon
Through rising of sun
These words of ghosts
Of plans undone
They drift along
Not far behind,
They whisper there meaning
Giving truth to blind,

And in their clasp
My heart is held
And in my heart
The truth is held,
Through the bars
I look to the sky
And continue to wonder
Oh Why! Oh Why!
And the heavens seem to ponder
And the starry sky seems to wonder
As I continue to ponder:
Oh Why, can't I?

"If only, If only...
The moon speaks no reply,
Reflecting the sun,
And all that's gone by..."

first written from memory, they are not 100%.

Fireworks

Crash, bang, boom!
The fires flare
Orange, yellow, red;
And gray.
What a site!
A fireworks display.

All the eyes
Look up in wonder
An awesome site
Booming of thunder
They stand in aw
Of what they saw
At the fires
Of orange, red, gray.

A celebration!
Fireworks are for,
Liberty, freedom,
Hope for the poor;
But what if I fooled you?
What if I told you
This date has no four

Crash, bang, boom!
The fires flare
Orange, yellow, red;
And gray;
While all look on,
In hope, and pray...
With one last hope:
To make it...through the day.

Nothing Matters

It doesn't matter,
Nothing matters;
It's just another day,
Just one more day,
Then the beginning
Of the days
Of the many
Called "tomorrow;
Life goes on,
Stuff goes on,
But none of it matters;
None of it conquers,
As I'm still alone,
And I'm still stuck home,
And nothing matters;
The dreams are gone,
The hope is small,
Only a glimmer
Of making things right;
Some day I'll make it, yes;
But right now,
What does it matter;
I'm tired,
I'm dead,
And my heart feels like lead;
I'm tired of running,
I'm tired of walking,
Maybe I'm trudging,
But I don't care;
Why would I care?
Why should I care?
None of it matters.

The Facts of Truth

So what's the answer?
That's the answer?
Are you sure?
Are you sure?
So that's the truth
Based on fact.
That's the answer,
But are you sure?
Oh! According to that,
Well that makes it fact,
Of course if they read it!
Of course if they said it!
It has to be true;
Accepted,
Rejected,
Reality,
Actuality,
Full of fidelity
The solution is here,
Imitate them
According to them,
Wrong,
Right,
False,
Correct,
All based
On levels of respect
I'm supposed to have faith?
In these people, have faith?
That's your opinion
That's my opposition,
Now what's your reaction?
So that's your responseÉ
You swear it be true,
You'll swear till your blue,
But how is it fact?
Were is your judgment
That makes it all true?
I've search for the answer,
The truth,
All my life;
What I've come up with
Like blade or like knife
Is sharpened every day,
Is sharpened every way,
So what makes your answer?
A text book or two?
Oh, I'm wrong?
Why?
Just because?
Because why?
You don't have an answer,
Do you my friend?
Yes, of course your sources
Are a line without end,
But do you think I don't know
The life I've been living?
Do you think I don't know
The preaches they're giving?
Now don't get defensive,
Just get attentive;
If your answer is law,
Why does law change?
If your answer is truth,
Then were is your proof?
If your answer is right,
Why do we fight?
So that's your answer...
So that's the truth...
But may I ask you one question...
Are you totally sure?

What is Intelligent Life?

I hate this world,
This human world,

I loved this earth
But then came birth,
And from this birth
Took all it's worth,

They gave, they took,
They loved, they hate,
They turned around
And played with fate,

They destroy and steel
And all for a deal,
They choose a path
Then minds all seal,

These are the hands
In charge of earth?
These are the creatures
That are worth all worth?

Yes, they invent
They bring love
And their dreams...
But they forgot other life,
As though it seems.

Now answer one question
And tell me no lie,
It's about life
But not on who die:
What is intelligent life?

The Door Opens

A dark room
Filled with shadows,
A homely couch
Of room it mellows,
A picture frame
To remember,
A calendar
Of time,
Remember;
Days
Weeks
Months
Years
Grow accustom
To the tears,
A sun beam
Through the shades,
But in a day
That hope too fades;
The dark is home,
The dark is known,
The dark is time,
The dark is fine;
A heavy crash,
Light pores in,
The door swings
And sight's strung thin;
The sting,
Of eyes gone blind,
Wanting to go back
Too far behind,
But this was desire
Of light like fire
A step,
Then two,
Out to the blue;
Stumbling,
Into the light,
Stumbling,
Blind of sight;
Freedom to take
Must follow its wake,
The light is here,
Why is there fear?
Can't go back
Can't go on
The path is long
And home is gone,
One step,
At a time,
A pounding heart
Keeping time.

Tranquil Pond

To this place of tranquil
Fly
Where life bless
The morning sky
No brighter place
Would angels lie
Than by this pool
Of time gone by

The whisper of the dancing leaves
The little brook of water breaths
The singing of the birds of Eve's
The calmly state of water reeds

Water pools of velvet glass
Flower leaves of skylight pass
Dew drops on the fragile grass
Of the water ripples 'las

Heaven makes the time stand still
Resting on a silver sill
There it gives to natures will
Captured by nor pen nor quill

As the sun's
No longer high
Lift walked feet
And touch the sky
Turn just once
To say good-bye
Soon beauty fades
With the sky

Demons' Torture

Twisted weakness
Worldly fate
World of shadows
Haunted hate

Frozen darkness
Bleeding light
World of shadows
Hidden sight

Open gladness
Silent pain
Showing nothing
Acid rain

Folds of madness
Cold of night
Deepened torture
Demons' fight

Angel's darkness
Silent wings
Melancholy
So she sings

Padded feet
Wind of hate
The ghostly tread
We dread too late.

-Emrayla Stardust

Who am I?

Who am I?
I'm the one over there,
Hiding in the corner,
In the shadow of despair.

From were am I?
Is that what you mean?
I'm from a family
With problems unseen.

Oh, who AM I.
Well that's a whole different game;
I'm the one that's always different,
Trying to look the same.

Who am I...
I'm a believer of dreams,
A hope in the hopeless,
And a seer of seams.

Who are you?
A believer too?
Would you mock me,
If I told you my side?

Maybe you wouldn't,
But maybe you would;
That's what I'm afraid of,
Maybe I should.

So tell me your name,
And even your game;
And then you may ask me,
Who am I.

Good-bye to the Past

Night time
Dreams,
Danger
Gleams,
Days
Years
Smiles
Tears
The silent pest,
Of sleep unrest,
Cold smiles
Warm tears
A friend to stay,
Gone away,

A tearful glance
Gone unnoticed,
A mournful song
Sung unnoticed,
A silent battle
Won unnoticed,

Through the window
Watch the rain;
With these raindrops
Leaves the pain,
In sleep,
Dance, dream
In the day
Day-dream
Dance,
Sing,
Ignore the sting;
Follow dreams,
Of the past,
Make this life,
With love last;

Bless the lord
You are sane,
This new life
Has much to gain.

Dash for Time

Tick tock, tick tock,
Goes the clock
The skin turns green:
It's seven fifteen;

Tick tock, tick tock,
The small car slows
The silence grows
The mind counts woes;

Tick tock, tick tock,
Breath a sigh
Gather bags
And wave good-bye;

Tick tock, tick tock,
A silent gun
Starts the race
Start to run;

Speed of a bullet
Fly, fly, fly!
Wishing to die
No time to cry
Spin the dial
Watch it spin
The metal swings
Its evil grin
Grabbing knowledge
Weighs life down
Slam the door
With a frown
Feet slap the ground
The hall copies sound
Heart's beat
Pounding feet
Speed, speed, speed!
Heart in the lead
Feet dash
Dash, bash, crash!

Tick tock, tick tock,
Grins the clock
Silence all around
Body on the ground,
And the weary heart
Cries it's small sound.

Lost

I don't know were I am right now
I really couldn't say,
Lost in my own dream world
Finding hope another way;

The maze is too confusing
In this real world here and now,
Not that it's a bad thing
Just I found I'm lost some how;

I'm searching for the key
That will open up the door,
To the dream that I've been dreaming of
The world I'm hoping for;

There is a certain bridge we cross
To get to greener land,
The land may be a jungle
But our own is filled with sand;

This bridge has many footprints
Imprinted on it's floor,
One's from friends and neighbors
That don't need it any more;

I try to find my footing
On this path from here to there,
But I find that I can not
With out a gift that's very rare;

So searching in the waste land
A soul must find a soul,
One that will look over them
And make the journey whole;

Hand in hand, through the land
Two dreamers run in sand,
And as they run the others look on
They travel to green land.

Lost Wishes

Ever have a moment
Where all your dreams come true?
Except for one small aspect
That makes it all turn blue?

Ever have a moment
Where you just want to cry?
But you also want to smile
So all you do is sigh?

Ever have a moment
Where your whole life turns around?
Just with one small sentence
Your whole world's up-side down?

Ever have a moment
Where the world becomes unreal?
If you have I promise you
You know just how I feel;

Ever have a feeling
That it's more than just fate,
That brought you to someone
Even though you are too late?

The world is so confusing
As it turns around, around;
So all you do is thank it
For the good things that you've found.

You're Not Alone

Fly,
up above the sky.
Believe,
in the dreams, that fly by.

The treasured gift
is angels' lift.

Broken wings,
The weeping sings,
The fallen sore,
Hope, no more.
The fire of a comet
burns to just coal.

What are memories
but the keeper of dreams?
Our future in memories
so it seems.

The fallen soar,
weeping no more.

Friends follow
filling the hollow.
Be strong:
Embrace the sorrow.

It takes faith
to fly.
It's ok to cry.
But know:
you're not alone.
Know:
We are here for you.

The Realm of Dreams

She lived a dream,
She ached awake,
And in soft sleep,
Chaos did quake.

Her heart and mind
Played tug-of-war,
And soul as rope,
Felt pain to its core.

She wished to wake
But did not wish,
She thought she woke,
But with mistake.

And from misleads
The mind's heart bleeds,
The soul counts woes,
Her heart took blows.

She locked the door
And thought the more,
But the dream still came,
And her own, the same.

So she stayed in sleep,
As she walked, as she wept,
So that joy could she feel,
Until it was real.

A Farewell to 2002

Another year
gone away;
a million moments
are past today;
4-3-2-1,
smiles and tears
gone and done.

Good-bye father,
your storm has pasted;
good-bye to thunder,
may good days last.

Good-bye step-father,
gone without good-bye;
the dawn this year
you made us smile,
but then you only
made us cry.

Good-bye old home,
held in my heart;
I'll always remember
you were my start.

Welcome road,
to new future drive;
a car changes code
of being alive.

A fond farewell,
to days with friends;
with hopes our days
will never end.

To new found friendships:
grow stronger each day;
To old friendships,
that found a way.

A prayer to Jana remember,
and all those less
a family member;
to end the year
with loved ones lostÉ
a great price to pay
for the cost.

A fond embrace,
to friends because
of hope that grew,
and love,
that never was.

4-3-2-1,
the glittering globe
declares a new sun;
the stars will set
with a new year won;
and the moon will reflect
the days that are done.

Breeze Blow By

The breeze blows by
And the breeze blows by
And the sun goes high
The birds fly high,
Through the sky
Silent angels fly,
And the breeze blows by;
And the breeze blows by;

Old trees Sigh
The sun begins to die,
And the breeze blows by;
And the breeze blows by;

Singing through the rye
The wind sails by,
Reaching where the willow cry,
Weeping willow, why?
Why do you cry?

And the breeze blows by;
And the breeze blows by;

Babbling river by
The sea shore where the sea shells lie,
And in the sand two lovers lie,
As the clouds fly by
The sun's rays die,

And the breeze blows by;
And the breeze blows by;

At water's bed the sun may lie,
As over green gray hills that sigh,
A mother sings her lullaby:

Oh angel sleep and do not cry
As I may sing this lullaby,
By cotton clouds the angels fly
And sing to sleep this precious sky,
Hear their there song and close each eye
And in my arms to dreams you fly.

Through window stares the starry sky,
That whispers sleep to close each eye,
And through the window souls do fly,
Blowing through the dream filled sky;
A sleep filled sky;
An angels high;

And the breeze blows by;
And the breeze blows by.

I'll Wait For You

Someone wants me to hold on to you
I don't know who
But it's true

Every time I turn away
Something turns me back to stay
Why must I feel this way?

I love you,
I really do.

You had someone,
Your earth, your sun,
And yet when the day was done
You claimed
She the sun
But me the moon

Now she's gone
Your sun is gone
That ach in my heart is gone
Let one question in mind prolong:
...Will you kiss me in very long?

You wait now
I'll wait now
I'll find a way to cope somehow
I'll wait for you
A practice not new,
But I'll wait for you
For one fair reason:

I love you,
I really do.

Angel Dreams

Of Lavender
Of starry skies
Of roses red
And fireflies

Dreams of flying
Souls fly away,
To dance in the starlight
Until the rise of day;

Run in the moon light
To the mists of dawn,
Paint the sunrise
To look upon;

Feel the embers
Of the start of day,
The warmth of the sunshine
Touching flowers of May;

Oh, what a world,
What a heart stopping world;
Earth, water, air, fire,
Feel its strength
Feel its desire;

The suns of aurora
Set in the west,
With a brilliant display
They finish their quest,
With a brilliant display
They set down to rest;

In the arms of another
Here where you belong,
Stare at the starlight
Hear it's great song,
Stare at the starlight
And feel it's soft song;

A beautiful silence,
The moonlight,
A glow,
The crickets small call
Then an owl forlorn,
Hear the breeze whisper silence
And soft silence is born;

A soft blanket of stars
Covers your head,
As the moon bids you sleep,
In a vine covered bed;

Drift to sleep
Under loves warm hand,
Under soft caress
Leave this land;

And before you wake
You have travel to make,
Past soft earthy trees
And a the pearl color lake;

Here in your dream
You'll travel away,
To a moon covered beach
To end on a day;

Drift away,
Drift away,
And in dream
Only dream
Of places, far away;

Of Lavender
Of starry skies
Of roses red
And fireflies

Sleep in peace,
And wake in dream.

Tremble Falls

All is calm;
The river flows;
A steady wind,
Slows, then grows.

Something happens:
The ground, it moves;
The river twitches,
The pounding of hooves.

At a quickened pace
It meets the falls,
Tumbling, tumbling
As down it falls,
A pounding beat
And down it falls.

At falling end
Earth's vibration,
As it tries to calm
The quaking sensation,

Going in circles
Down the river again,
The river it travels
As ink from a pen;
Calm again,
Calm again,
A steady heart once again;
As ruby veins breath again.

The river's silent; for now.
Till when...?

Poetic Prose

A poem, a poem...
How do I start?
A gathering of words
To explain the heart,

The heart, the heart...
What a glorious sound,
As it beats each emotion
And echoes each sound,

A sound, a sound...
Laughter to tears,
Screaming to cheering,
The passing of years,

Years, years...
The pieces of time,
Where do you leave them?
With treasures or grime,

Looking back...
Words let the heart go,
Ready for a new bend
Let the words flow,

A poem, a poem...
Now for an end...
Follow your heart,
And walk to the bend.

Diary of Poems

Flipping through my folder
A diary of dreams
Of a time when life was troubles
And little joys, it seems

Of loved ones left
And loved ones lost
Broken hearts
And heart felt costs

I felt it all
Hunger, pain
All in a soul
Trying to keep sane

From hate for life
To soul fought strife
All in hopes
For another life

It was my home
That folder, each day
As I tried to find another way

I wrote down fears
And sadness and grief
All in hope for a little relief

The poems came
And slowly went
As pains in life
Found a slow decent

But I tried to write
In good moods despite
But joy poems make
For a hard rythmed write

So now they're just thoughts
In a long rythmed day
A pleasant remembrance
Of what I fought for today

So flipping through my folder
I'll remember days because
They give me hope by telling me
What's better than what was.

-Emrayla Stardust

Silver Lining

So I'm turning so I'm turning so I'm turning round the bend,
as I fly beneath the shadows and soar to heavens bend,

Fly away through the clouds, broken hearts are soon to mend,
find the silver on each piece of cotton, from ground to heaven's end,

Soar away, soar away, as silver time is hard to lend,
every star has it's twinkle, every moon has it's bend,

See the stars for what they are, bright to passion's end,
but know our sun is the one that shines light around each bend.
